Who is listening to the voice of life?
The Regenerative business
Regenerative businesses are keyed into nature. By mimicking nature they ensure that the business thrives, the people working in the business thrive, and that the community and environment it exists in also thrives. By functioning from the principles of LIFE the world is a better place for the existence of that business because it creates more value than it takes.
The Regenerative Leader helps make this journey possible.

The Card Deck - Earth Values: The Ethics to Live Regeneratively
|
How are we going to bring Life into our next incarnation on this planet? Surely the magic of nature is calling us forward. It takes some practice to hear what she has to say. Magic happens in relationship…
The Earth Values deck of 88 full-colour cards (16 values/patterns + 4 Intent) names what research has shown nature does to make things work. The content is specific with values/patterns and how they relate to the four intents of nature, who is working to keep LIFE thriving and evolving on this planet. The deck can be used to reflect on and learn from puzzling situations, provide guidance, and discover responsibility for making situations go well. The deck has the potential to provide a common reference point for teams, and serve as a framework and learning tool for those studying how to improve and design projects in: business, education, governance, and even architecture. The cards were created by more than 20 years of research gathered from scientists, systems thinkers, poets, and indigenous folks. The cards are accompanied by an Earth Values explanatory graphic and a booklet describing the deck's purpose, living systems basics, and brief definitions. |

tools are not the whole answer
We won't get where we are going if we don't learn to think differently, and that's something Regenerative Leaders do naturally. Each of the tools mentioned above is designed to shift thinking, sometimes in profound ways. Some of your normal ways of thinking will be challenged.
In the past, leaders were taught not to ask questions but to have all the answers. Questions are to focus the participants, so they can deepen their internal awareness. As regeneration moves into a business, the employees often have specific leadership or career issues they want to work on, often to the benefit of their company. This required leaders to have backgrounds in organizational development and leadership development to be effective. Now, deeply effective regenerative leaders often wear four hats: coach, facilitator, trainer, and consultant.
With the multi-crises of global warming, a new focus has emerged that requires grounding in new areas. Many leaders have moved into utilizing the new research coming from neuroscience to help their organizations function better under stressful conditions. The recognition by many businesses that they need to become regenerative has opened the door to the need for a much deeper understanding of systems theory, biology and the natural sciences and how these are connected together. To be truly regenerative, we will have to think and act like nature. We must become a part of nature, not the overlord. Learning about the planet can feel like a diversion because we have been SO separated for So long, but just the opposite is true. Only by partnering with the Earth can we hope to transition with the planet as she changes.
Shifting companies from being profit driven to being life driven requires new learning on all fronts. While the challenge is real, so are the benefits. Profit is like food for the organization, so it needs to be a part of the equation, but it can no longer be a driver. The innovation and creativity we need to exhibit to make this change successfully - so we can see the planet begin to thrive, will make this a very exciting and rewarding experience. As work becomes meaningful to all parties: the leadership, the employees, the community and the organization benefit.
These courses are designed to give you the background, the foundation, and the tools to become the leaders you need to be, to make this journey, successful. You will not learn what to do, but how to create the shift in thinking that will generate the unique regenerative path for each individual and organization.
We are in a crisis. Just doing things will not ensure success - we have to choose to act very differently, and to do that we have to think differently. There is no set-by-step, no 7 ways to success, no template to follow. It is by listening to nature, by following her lead, that you will discover our own contribution to developing the healthy and resilient civilization we have been longing for. Putting life at the center makes all the difference! Join us.

What they are saying
Introducing the concepts of quality management with the primary objective of improved customer service to a large and diverse organization such as ours (and getting us to understand) is no small task.....Thanks for the help. It was a very good experience. ~ Don Munakata, Chief Bureau of Engineering, Department of Public Works.
I thought that the contractors wouldn’t stay for the day, but we couldn’t get rid of them – best Roundtable ever.” ~Frank M. Lee, Bureau of Construction Management, Department of Public Works
