AQai Adaptability Assessment™
Understanding A.C.E. (Ability, Character, and Environment)
As we engage with more and more chaos, we need to be responsive, not reactive. The A.C.E, aspects of any situation really influence adaptable behavior, this assessment measures employees’ behaviors to adapt or change at work. It builds on numerous research studies on how organizations best adapt to change while staying competitive over time (see the seminal work by O’Reilly and Tushman in the Harvard Business Review in 2004 https://hbr.org/2004/04/the-ambidextrous-organization). Just like organizations, individuals must master two behaviors to optimally adapt. They need to balance innovation with common practice: they explore solutions, try new ways of working, and quickly adapt to disruptions, while still ensuring they utilize existing knowledge and approach change in a goal-directed or systematic way. The organization plays a part as well, so better understanding what the organization can do to support employees in effectively responding to change increases success.
